Denise Bell Spa
What Does A Facial Do? Plus

A facial is designed to enhance skin health and vitality, offering more than just a luxurious experience. It cleanses and deep cleans the skin, extracts impurities, and exfoliates to promote a healthier complexion. Regular facials increase circulation, stimulate skin renewal, and can help address issues such as acne, redness, and rosacea. They also serve as a preventive measure against premature aging, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and improving overall skin brightness and texture.

What Are The Benefits Of Getting Regular Facials? Plus

Regular facials provide comprehensive care for your skin, including cleansing, detoxification, resurfacing, hydration, and protection. Much like personal training for your body, facials and treatments such as enzymes, peels, and advanced technologies like ultrasonic, microdermabrasion, and microcurrent help maintain optimal skin health. Regular visits to a skincare professional ensure your skin remains in top condition, rather than just relying on cosmetic cover-ups.

Can I Get A Facial If I'm Pregnant? Plus

Yes, facials can be safely enjoyed during pregnancy. Our estheticians will tailor the products and techniques used during your facial to ensure they are appropriate for your needs. Please complete a client information form, including health-related questions, to help us provide the best and safest service for you.

Can I Get A Facial If I've Just Had Botox Or Other Injections? Plus

It’s best to schedule your facial at least 14 days after receiving Botox or other injections. For optimal results, consider booking your facial before any injections to ensure your skin is in perfect condition for both treatments.

Do I Need To Do Anything Before My Facial? Plus

Prepare for your facial by noting any questions or concerns you have for your skin therapist. Bring any products you’re curious about or a photo of them. Be aware of the names and dosages of any medications you are taking. Makeup is not necessary for your appointment, but if you wear it, that's perfectly fine. Men should shave the night before. Avoid facials if you are sunburned. Clients who have taken Accutane/Isotretinoin should wait 6 months before facial services, and Retin-A/Tretinoin should be discontinued 5-7 days prior. Waxing should be done 2-3 days before your appointment.

Will My Skin Be Red After My Facial? Plus

A rosy glow is common after a facial due to exfoliation, extraction, and massage. This temporary redness usually subsides within a few hours. After your facial, it’s best to relax and take it easy. You will have SPF applied, so you can continue with your day. If applying makeup, mineral makeup is recommended. Avoid swimming and saunas for a day or two following your facial.

How Do I Know Which Facial To Choose? Plus

We suggest starting with our DBSC Classic Facial, which allows us to assess your skin and determine your specific needs. During this facial, we will discuss your skin concerns and develop a customized plan to help you achieve your skincare goals.

How Far In Advance Should I Get A Facial Before An Event? Plus

For optimal results before a special event, schedule a series of facials starting 3 months in advance. Your esthetician will work with you to plan your appointments, recommend appropriate products, and ensure you look radiant for your wedding, anniversary, reunion, or any other special occasion. If you have any questions or need further guidance, please let us know when scheduling your appointment. We’re here to help you achieve your healthiest, most beautiful skin.
